VIDEO: Flamengo celebrate Guanabara Cup trophy
Flamengo's squad and staff celebrate by lifting the Guanabara Cup trophy following a 2-1 victory over Volta Redonda.
Flamengo hosted Volta Redonda on the final matchday of the Guanabara Cup league phase on 25th April.
The home side took the lead at the Maracana through Michael after 43 minutes. Bruno Barra levelled for Volta Redonda right on half-time, but Victor Vinicius' 61st minute goal gave Flamengo victory. They finished top of the league on 23 points from 11 games and so they were awarded the Guanabara Cup trophy.
The top four in the league make the play-offs and Flamengo face 4th placed side Volta Redonda in a two legged tie in May.
