Ronaldo scored his first ever goal against the Germans after just 15 minutes, but own goals from Ruben Dias and Guerreiro before half time were followed by strikes from Havertz and Gosens not long after the break. Diogo Jota threatened a lot comeback after his 67th minute goal, but Germany remained in control and saw the win out to its completion.
The result puts all the pressure on Portugal's last match against world champions France, as they need to get at least a draw to be sure of qualification to the last 16.
