With just seven minutes on the clock, referee Bjorn Kuipers had awarded PSG a penalty for handball by Zinchenko in the area. But the VAR took just a few seconds before alerting the referee to his ridiculous decision.

It was a fast start to the Champions League semi-final second leg between Man City and PSG. It looked like the snow would cause havoc in the opening minutes, but soon people starting talking about the referee and VAR.

In the 7th minute, a cross into the box by Diallo struck Zinchenko's shoulder. But the French side claimed a penalty and the Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers pointed to the spot.

The Ukrainian was convinced it was not a spot kick. He was pointing to his shoulder and the replays showed it was a shocking decision.

VAR Pol van Boekel saved Man City, the referee and the match from a neutral standpoint when he called Bjorn Kuipers over to the monitor. The referee took just seconds at the monitor. Kuipers immediately reversed his decision
