Van Der Wiel headed for Fenerbahce
The defender is out of contract this summer, and looks set to make a move to the Turkish giantson a free transfer
Gregory Van Der Wiel is close to joining Fenerbahce on a free transfer, according to ESPN.
The 28-year-old is out of contract this summer at the Ligue 1 champions, and both the club and player have decided against a new deal.
The Dutch international arrived at Parc Des Princes from Ajax back in 2012, and has since helped them to four consecutive Ligue 1 titles.
Van Der Wiel will come in to fill the vacant right-back left by Gokhan Gonul, who left the Turkish giants this summer.
