Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde was left frustrated on Saturday after Luis Suarez saw a goal wrongly disallowed in in the 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo at the Nou Camp.

Celta took a shock lead through the in-form Iago Aspas, though the hosts retored parity almost immediately courtesy of Lionel Messi.

Barca thought they had taken the lead through Suarez, only for the offside flag to go up against the Uruguayan. The former Liverpool man did get on the scoresheet in the second half, but Maxi Gomez hit back to earn Celta a share of the spoils.

Speaking following the game, Valverde admitted his frustration with the decision to disallow Suarez's goal.

'You always want the controversy to benefit you, and mistakes to be in your favour,' he said. 'But we hope that in the next refereeing decision they do not make a mistake. I'm quiet. It's not something that has not happened to me before.'

The dropped points weren't the only disappointment for Barca though, with defender Samuel Umtiti expected to be missing for up to eight weeks with a thigh problem picked up during the game.

'It was a hotly contested match. They started well and we struggled to get into the game,' Valverde continued.

'At 2-1, we could score the third goal - it was not to be. Then Umtiti suffered his injury and they scored the equaliser. Then we had four chances, but we could not get (the winner).

'It was a cluster of misfortunes. The big one was Umtiti's injury. There are many things that have happened to us this year, but we must continue.

'We are Barca and we want to win always. Sometimes it is not possible to get three points. It already happened to us in Valencia (the 1-1 draw at the Mestalla last weekend). These things happen in long competitions.'
