Ajax will arrive at the Mestalla on Wednesday to play Valencia on matchday 2 of the Champions League, unbeaten away from home in 12 European matches.

Erik Ten Hag's side last lost away from home against Rostov in August 2016 when they lost 4-1 which knocked them out at the qualification stage.

Since then, in 12 matches away from home they have won 5 and drawn 6, scoring 19 and conceding 10. Some of the best results achieved are a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich and 4-1 and 2-1 wins against Real Madrid and Juventus respectively.

However, they form hasn't been so great on Spanish soil, where they have only won once in their last 9 matches; the win against Real Madrid last year, coupled with a draw and 6 defeats.
