UEFA has released its fantasy team of the week, after the first set of round of 16 second legs was played.

The first set of Champions League quarter finalists were decided on Tuesday and Wednesday, as the first four round of 16 ties were decided.

On Thursday, UEFA published its fantasy team of the week, compiling the ideal XI from the four Champions League games.

In defence, Liverpool and Porto, who played out to a 0-0 draw at Anfield, dominated the selection. In net was Iker Casillas, whose performance for Porto on Tuesday may well have been the last time we will see the keeper in the Champions League. Ahead of him at centre-back was Porto teammate Felipe. Two Liverpool defenders, Alberto Moreno and Dejan Lovren, also made the cut, alongside Basel's Michael Lang. Although Basel didn't keep a clean sheet, they did extremely well to keep free-flowing Manchester City down to one goal at home, and Lang managed to bag himself a goal from defence.

In midfield was Basel's other goalscorer, Mohamed Elyounoussi, joined by Heung-Min Son and Casemiro. Son opened the scoring in Tottenham's clash with Juventus, beating legendary keeper Gigi Buffon in the first half. Casemiro contributed to Real Madrid's huge win over PSG, scoring his side's second goal.

In attack were Juventus duo Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain, who scored within three minutes of each other in the second to spin Juventus' Tottenham game on its head, securing their team a spot in the quarters. The final spot in the side went to man of the moment Cristiano Ronaldo, who bagged the vital first away goal for Real at the Parc des Princes.
