Roma have been charged by UEFA, after one of their ballboys wasted time in returning the ball to Shakhtar Donetsk's Facundo Ferreyra. Ferreyra reacted angrily, pushing the ballboy over the advertising board.

During Roma's 1-0 victory over Shakthar in the Champions League round of 16, a commotion was ignited when Facundo Ferreyra shoved a ballboy over the advertising boards that line the pitch.

His push led to a big dispute between players from both sides, and he received a yellow card for his actions. The 26-year-old apologised after the game, saying it was a 'very emotional moment in the match', but claiming there was no bad intent on his part.

However, in the aftermath of the controversy, it is Roma who have been punished by UEFA. The Italian side, who progressed past Shakhtar to the quarter finals of the CL, have been charged by the football body for time-wasting, as the ballboy's actions were deemed to be unacceptable. They have also been punished for the behaviour of their supporters, after fans threw fireworks onto the pitch.
