Dimitar Berbatov has been analysing football up to now after the Champions League round of fixtures which saw Cristiano Ronaldo beat Leo Messi at the Camp Nou.
The former player looked back and what it was like playing and training with the Portuguese striker, as well as his personality on and off the pitch.
"I've been a fortunate guy to be able to share that season together. Training with him was like a war because he was not thinking of anything else that was not winning everything, even the small games we used to organise. Cristiano was a good guy who increased the competitive atmosphere of the team," the 'Betfair' ambassador said.
On Cristiano Ronaldo, he said that he is a "fun and affectionate" person who looked after himself so much that he did not even slacken on nights out or during Christmas celebrations.
"He was fun and affectionate. In the Christmas parties we players organised, we had a wonderful time. I never saw him drink even on those days. He really, really looked after himseld, You went to training and he was already in the gym. He used to stay afterwards and do extra work which was shooting practice. He was finishing there, he went swimming and then returned to the gym. He was determined to be the best," the Bulgarian continued.
Berbatov concluded saying we will never realise how good both Messi and Ronaldo are until they retire.
