Man City man Ilkay Gundogan spoke to 'Sky Germany' after getting through to the Champions League semi-final. The midfielder didn't mince his words and confirmed to the press that negotations are happening with Barcelona.
The Champions League semi-finalists are now known. One of whom was Manchester City, who breezed past the all-powerful Bayern munich by 4-1 on aggregate.
One of their players, Ilkay Gundogan, spoke to the press after the game and said something which won't please Citizens fans: "Barcelona? Yes, there are talksin private, but I'm not going to go into details because now's not the time. My future is not yet decided".
However, the midfielder also made his love for his current side clear: "I'm happy at Man City, fighting for titles. I'm happy to be captain of this side".
Gundogan's contract is up on the 30th June, meaning he'd go to the Spanish side on a free. What's more, according to latest reports, Barca have made him a formal offer, giving him the next few months to decide.
