Taking advantage of Ajax's visit to Denmark for their Champions League match against Midtjylland, two Manchester United goalkeeping legends, Edwin van der Sar and Peter Schmeichel, had a brief encounter that the Dane shared with his followers on Twitter.
Peter Schmeichel and Edwin van der Sar are, without a doubt, two of the best goalkeepers of the last decade of the 20th century and, for van de Sar, also of the first decade of the 21st century.
Throughout their long career, both players had a long period at Manchester United a team in which they became legends and achieved, among many other titles, the Champions League under the great Sir Alex Ferguson.
Now, due to the fact that Ajax (where Van der Sar is the director) face off against Danish Midtjylland (nationality of Schmeichel), the legends crossed paths in Herning.
Schmeichel did not hesitate to take a picture of the meeting and uploaded it to his personal Twitter account with a funny message. "Look who I found shopping on the street," said the Dane next to a hashtag in reference to Manchester United.
