It is already being called the 'greatest penalty ever conceded', and it was Scottish side Cowdenbeath who were penalised. The only goal of the game arrived from the spot, but it was the manner in which Berwick Rangers won the penalty that took all the attention.

The Scottish League Two fixture drew attention this weekend not for a great goal or a thrilling comeback, but for how Cowdenbeath conceded a penalty.

The visitors, who are bottom of the league which just one win, had a penalty given against them in the 80th minute, when striker Jordan Garden attempted one of the lowest diving headers possibly ever recorded.

Defending in a crowded box, the forward plunged into a tackle which, in all fairness, seemed to be timed perfectly. The referee, however, pointed to the spot and Berwick scored the winner.
