Shortly before Genoa announced the dismissal of Aurelio Andreazzoli, the president of Genoa, Enrico Preziosi, was already talking about Thiago Motta. The former PSG man was announced as the club's new coach on Tuesday.
"He is a person who knows Genoa well and has seen many games. Thiago Motta knows what needs to be done to relaunch this team," he began explaining in statements for 'Il Secolo XIX'.
In addition, he also commented that he sees him capable of "surprising everyone": "I'm sure he will do well. He has the same grit as when he was a player. He seems to have 13 balls."
In this way, he announced that Motta who has only one year's coaching experience thanks to his season at PSG's youth academy, will take over from the dismissed Andreazzoli.
