It has been confirmed that the FA is not going to take any further action following an off-the-ball incident between Saido Berahino and James McCarthy.
On Saturday, Berahino allegedly kicked out at McCarthy during West Brom's 1-0 victory against Everton.
Roberto Martinez, Everton's manager, was adamant that Berahino should have been sent off. In an interview with 'Sky Sports' he said, "The ball was stopped and Berahino just stamps on James McCarthy. I don't know what happened. I thought the referee was in a good position and should have seen that. It's one of those naïve reactions and it should have been a red card."
But, the FA's have viewed the footage and decided that it was intentional and therefore no further action will be taken.
