Conte will finally have his target up front once Morata completes a medical for the Blues, but the move will spark a chain reaction spanning the entirety of European football.

Real Madrid and Chelsea have agreed a fee for Alvaro Morata to arrive at Stamford Bridge. Conte's side were desperate to land a centre-forward amid Diego Costa's imminent exit, and many names had been linked with a move to west London.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was another of Chelsea's potential targets and now the Gabon international could make a move to big-spenders AC Milan or PSG. Borussia Dortmund want the striker to stay.

The Premier League title holders had also considered Andrea Belotti, though the Torino man never seemed to be a genuine option. The 23-year-old will most likely remain in the Serie A, AC Milan also putting a lucrative offer on the table for the Italian.

Aguero had been heavily tipped for a switch from Manchester City to Conte's team, but the Argentine will stay put at the Etihad. This in turn decreases the chances of Alexis Sanchez joining Guardiola's side, as the Spanish manager has sufficient firepower up front.

Should the Chilean striker remain at the Emirates, Wenger would be forced to offload at least one of his attacking players, most likely Giroud, and Mbappe's signing would be out of the question.

Benzema had also been linked with a switch to Arsenal in the event of Sanchez's departure, but there is no way Zidane will allow his top centre-forward to leave, not after selling Morata.

At the other end of Madrid, Atletico will benefit from the move as Diego Costa nears his Stamford Bridge exit. Conte will be glad to see the Brazil-born striker leave after securing a forward he admires.

Alvaro Morata is on his way to Chelsea, which puts an end to transfer speculation at Stamford Bridge. It does raise a whole lot of other questions as the domino blocks begin to topple. The wheels have been set in motion.
