Carrillo scored a comical own goal against Tajikistan in the Under 17 World Cup. Captura/Gol

Carrillo, the Real Madrid defender and Spain Under 17 player. committed the cardinal sin and ended up scoring an own goal.

Rule number one as a defender is to never pass the ball back to the keeper directly in front of the goal. If you have to do it, pass to do a side because if the keeper misses it, it is only a corner instead of a corner. Alvaro Carrillo for Spain U17 passed the ball towards the goal and he was punished.

In Spain's second U17 World Cup match which was against Tajikistan, Carrillo wanted to pass the ball back to Ivan Martinez who came out of his goal and did not se the defender's pass. The Real Madrid man passed back to Martinez but the ball went past him and Tajikistan got a goal to make it 3-1.
