Szczesny targets Champions League glory

Wojciech Szczesny has set his sights on the Champions League title after completing his move to Juventus.

The Polish international has joined the Serie A champions on a four-year deal after leaving Arsenal.

Szczesny has impressed on loan at Roma over the course of the last two years and he jumped at the chance to join Juve.

At his unveiling, the 27-year-old said "When you join Juve, it's because you've been chosen. I didn't hesitate one moment before coming here."

"I'm ready to take on this challenge. Juventus is the best possible choice for my career. I'm 27 years old and I want to win. At this club there's the right mentality to do so."

"I hope that we'll succeed in winning the Champions League."

The Pole also admitted that he had spoken the the legend that is Gianluigi Buffon before deciding on the move: "I'm delighted to be at Juventus. I've spoken to Buffon - a true legend of the game," he said.

Despite his obvious respect for the Italian, Szczesny actually kept more clean sheets than Buffon last season, racking up 14 in Serie A and the former Legia Warsaw man will be looking to oust the veteran stopper next season.
