Barcelona stepped out onto the field of play against Lyon and had two goals within half an hour. The second of which was the work of Philippe Coutinho, who took advantage of Suarez's gift to beat the Lyon keeper, Lopes, who was defeated from the first goal.

The Barcelona forward scored the second goal, partly due to the misfortune that Lyon suffered after Anthony Lopes' injury. The French goalkeeper wanted to continue after suffering a brutal blow, but it soon showed that he was wrong.

He looked to be in a bad way, but he couldn't have done much to avoid Barca doubling their lead. The passage of play was classic Barcelona, advancing upfield with Arthur who layed it off to Messi. Suarez then combined with Coutinho before the Brazilian hammered it home.

The Uruguayan, instead of shooting on goal himself, he layed the ball off to his left where Philippe Coutinho, who needed the goal more than anyone else, took advantage of an open goal. Straight away, Lopes asked to be substituted as he could no longer continue.
