John Stones has informed Everton he wants to join Manchester City this summer, according to The Sun.
The 22-year-old is now trying to push through a move to the Etihad stadium, with Pep Guardiola reportedly keen on the young England international.
Everton's new manager has made it clear he wants the defender to stay, but could struggle with Stones' heart seemingly set on leaving.
It is believed that City could land stones for £45m, in a deal which would make him the most expensive British defender in history.
The defender ahs also been linked with a move to Barcelona and City's rivals Manchester United.
