Should Man City sell Sergio Aguero?

Chelsea are reportedly very interested in signing the Argentine, with the Citizens aiming to make space for Alexis Sanchez. But, should they sell Sergio Aguero?

122 Premier League goals to his name, averaging a goal every 120 minutes last season, Sergio Aguero seems to be at the peak of his form at the age of 29.

The Argentine could be just the man Chelsea are looking for: a top striker and experienced in the Premier League, his partnership with Hazard could be daunting.

There is no doubt Aguero would prove a valuable asset to the Blues, but why are Manchester City considering the option of offloading the scorer of arguably the greatest goal in the club's history?

Aguero's relationship with Guardiola has come under scrutiny since the end of last season, when the striker's fitness levels were questioned. Gabriel Jesus emerged to squeeze the former Atletico man out of the starting lineup, with Guardiola seemingly more fond of the Brazilian, labelling him 'the future of the club'.

If one is the 'future', is the other the past? Aguero has given the Sky Blues some great moments and has consistently racked up the goals season after season. However, Guardiola has a revolution in mind at City, and the 29-year-old way not feature in the manager's plans.

Alexis Sanchez, who worked with him at Barcelona, is Guardiola's top target for this summer, and the Chilean's addition would see City overstocked with attacking players. Selling Aguero would provide both funds and space to bring in the Arsenal man, but selling to a Premier League rival is always a gamble.

We are yet to see where Aguero will play next season, but ludicrous as it may seem, do not write off a move to the champions. Anything is possible in the Premier League.
