Sergio Ramos returned to the Champions League after his injury lay off and he scored from the spot to practically seal Real Madrid's place in the Champions League quarter-finals. He made it 2-0 on the night.

After a shaky start against Atalanta, Benzema took advantage of a gift to score and take the pressure off Real Madrid.

Madrid were in a very strong position in the tie and in the 60th minute, Sergio Ramos killed off any faint hopes of an Atalanta fightback.

Ramos took responsibility from the spot after Toloi fouled Vinicius right on the line of the penalty area. The captain made no mistake and put it into Sportiello's right hand corner. The keeper went the right way, but could not save it.

After four months, the Real Madrid captain celebrated a goal. The last time he scored was on 3rd November 2020 in a Champions League game with Inter Milan.
