Sergio Ramos was on target again for Monterrey in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Cruz Azul, making it two goals in three appearances for the Spanish centre-back since landing in Mexico.

Sergio Ramos seems to have put on his shooting boots since landing in Mexico last month, as he was on target again in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Cruz Azul.

The Spaniard headed his first Monterrey goal in last week's 4-2 win over Santos Laguna, and scored in a similar fashion last night against 'Los Cementeros'.

The 38-year-old fired 'Los Rayados' ahead in the 12th minute of the game with a thumping header from Canales' cross, who was also the provider for Ramos' first goal.

Despite the former Real Madrid defender's opener, Monterrey were unable to seal the three points, with Riverro's 21st-minute leveller holding them to a draw.

Martin Demichelis' men remain in 9th place in the Mexican Clausura standings, while Cruz Azul now find themselves in fifth after overtaking Necaxa.
