Fabian Schar, who plays for Newcastle and is an ex-Deportivo player, did something really risky in the Georgia-Switzerland game: he and Tabidze clashed heads in which the Swiss player came out worse. Despite fainting and being badly concussed, he came back onto the pitch and completed the game.

With what happened to Ospina when he wanted to play on still fresh in the memory, there was another moment of great tension in the Euro 2020 qualification match.

In the first half, an accidental clash of heads between Tabidze and Schar left its effects on both players. Both were hurt, but the Swiss man was down unconscious. Fortunately, the scare was short lived and the medical team could get him to regain consciousness quickly.  In fact, the players themselves were the first to realise the seriousness of the injury. A Georgian player even took the sensible move of turning his head and putting his hand in the player's mouth to avoid him swallowing his tongue.

When everything seemed to indicate Schar would be substituted, the complete opposite happened. He asked to rejoin the action and astonishing everyone, held out until the final whistle without showing any effects of his injury.

Tabidze also continued although he was very heavily bandaged which made him look more like a mummy than a footballer.  That said, his coach took him off after 60 minutes of the game to avoid any further injury.
