Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has admitted that the success of Jadon Sancho's move from Manchester City means the German side will continue to keep an eye on other talented English youngsters in the future.

Sancho surprised many when he quit Manchester City to join Dortmund last summer at the age of just 18, but his decision was completely justified after he received his first England cap against Croatia during the international break.

The youngster has turned in a series of impressive performances for his club this term, notching up one goal and eight assists in ten appearances, leading Zorc to admit that other such players will also be on Dortmund's radar from now on.

"Until now it has nearly been out of the question for us to be able to transfer players from England to Germany,"he explained.

"I think there is a big opportunity out there to source highly talented young players - in particular at the absolute top clubs.

"Due to the financial power of the English clubs, they often buy a top class player into their squad. Therefore young players cannot break through, which is different to how things are done in Germany. Of course we will keep our eyes open in the future, too."
