'Saka works incredibly hard'
England manager Gareth Southgate spoke about Bukayo Saka and his performances in Monday's Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia at Old Trafford. The Arsenal star scored his first hat-trick.
Bukayo Saka has become an indispensable part of Gareth Southgate's side since starring at the World Cup and took his tally to seven goals in his last eight internationals to round off a brilliant season for the Arsenal winger.
The England manager spoke about his performances at the post-press conference at Old Trafford: "Saka works incredibly hard. He's talented, he's humble.
"He's hugely popular with all of the players and all of the staff and I have to say his finishing has been like that all week. We weren't surprised by the first one, that's how he's been all week, we hadn't seen the second one coming," he added.
"I'm delighted for him. He's had a slightly sore Achilles and it's another one where it would have been easy to lull out on the camp and miss out on a night like this that I'm sure will live with him forever."
