When Geronimo Rulli is on form, he is a good goalkeeper. However, when he's having a bad day, it's a feast for his opponents. Against Real Madrid the Argentine didn't assert himself and practically gifted the fifth goal to Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Gareth Bale had come off the bench, and Real Madrid looked like Real Madrid. Bale picked up the ball from Ronaldo on the left wing and fired a low shot towards goal.
The shot was well directed but the 'keeper' should have done better. Rulli could only parry the ball to the feet of the Portuguese forward.
Ronaldo needed one touch to take the ball out of reach of the keeper, and another to pass it into the back of the net.
It was his third in the game, and Madrid's fifth, as they recorded an easy victory in preparation for PSG in the Champions League.
