Reports claim that the striker has no plans to take time off at Everton, despite pressing circumstances.

It is reported that Everton striker Wayne Rooney will not be requesting a leave of absence, and has not held any such conversations with manager Ronald Koeman at this time.

The former England international is expecting a fourth child with wife Colleen, who has been alleged to have encouraged husband Wayne Rooney to request sympathetic leave away from football.

Further scrutiny has been placed on Rooney following his drink driving arrest 11 days ago, who is set to stand in court on September 18.

However, 'Sky Sports News' claim that no request for absence has been made by the striker, "nor would any such request ever be made".
