According to 'Sky Sports', Wayne Rooney has agreed to sign for MLS side DC United in a £12million move in the summer.

It seems the former England international will play his last game for Everton when they take on West Ham United on Sunday, going by reports in his home country.

Rooney appears set to swap the Premier League for the United States after allegedly reaching an agreement with DC United.

'Sky Sports' have claimed the deal has been drafted over the past seven weeks after Rooney's agent, Paul Stretford, made several trips across the pond.

When the move is confirmed on July 10, after the MLS' mid-season transfer window opens, the 31-year-old will be DC's highest paid player.

The American club hopes the arrival of Rooney will be a marquee signing and bring lots of extra revenue.
