Cristiano Ronaldo has been in talks with Nike over designs for new footwear in the colours of his new side, Juventus.

Ronaldo, 33, signed for the Serie A side in July after a week of speculation, and scored his first goal against Juventus' B-side in a friendly last week.

While shopping in Beijing, the Portuguese was shown a pair of 2003 Air Max 93 Juventus trainers and said he had spoken to Nike already regarding designing some trainers in black and white.

The forward remarked: "I have the opportunity of course to sign now for Juve. I'm very excited, very happy and very proud.

"I had the opportunity already to speak with Nike to do the new shoes in these colours, black and white. I'm looking forward to that."

Ronaldo also claimed his son has similar taste in footwear. "He loves it too. He copies me a little bit but it's good. He looks at me as a model, it's great.

"The taste is a little bit similar to me. It's my son, so I'm glad that he likes Nike too."

The Portugal international has been sponsored by Nike since 2003 and now has a lifetime deal with the sports manufacturers.
