Ronaldo scored 94th minute winner, but VAR takes it away!

Cristiano Ronaldo thought he was the hero in his first game of the season. The Portuguese scored what he thought was the winning goal in the 94th minute, but it was disallowed by the VAR for offside.

Cristiano Ronaldo's start to the 2021-22 season was eventful. The Portuguese striker, who asked to start on the bench to try and sort out his future, was so nearly the difference for Juventus.

After Juve went 0-2 up, Udinese ended up levelling with the help of a terrible error by Szczesny in one of them. That meant each team was going to take home a point.

After missing a great chance a few minutes earlier, Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to save Juventus or at least that is what he thought. The Portuguese even took off his shirt to celebrate.

His joy was short lived though. The VAR spotted that Cristiano Ronaldo was fractionally offside and the goal was disallowed.

His face summed up perfectly what all Juventus supporters were feeling at that moment in time. Cristiano Ronaldo could not believe what would have been his first goal of the season had been disallowed. It would have also given Allegri's men three points instead of one.
