Cristiano Ronaldo's future remains up in the air. The footballer has returned to work later than the rest of the Manchester United team due to "personal reasons".
Until this Friday, the Portuguese had not appeared in training. Finally, in the morning, he did.
'The Sun' shared the first images of Ronaldo arriving at the club's Carrington training ground in his car. However, despite now being with the group, he will not feature in their next match against Atletico Madrid in Oslo this Saturday as the two teams meet for a pre-season friendly.
Curiously, Atletico have been heavily linked as the next destination for the Portuguese. However, the recent words from Cerezo seemed to dismiss the rumours. "Nahuel was the missing piece", said the Atletico president, closing the door on CR7.
Cristiano Ronaldo is clear on the fact that he wants to leave and, according to the aforementioned source, he is pressurising his current club into making this happen.
The English paper reports that Cristiano has been demanding that they put a price on his exit. He wants to leave Manchester United and, the sooner, the better.
Amongst all of this, his agent, Jorge Mendes, is looking for a new destination for him. The aim is for his representative to find him a team that will be playing in the Champions League next season. The most recent club he has been linked with is Sporting CP, the club at which his professional career began.
Here is the squad list for United's upcoming clash with Atletico (without Cristiano): De Gea, Heaton, Kovar, Diogo Dalot, Laird, Lindelof, Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Alex Telles, Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, Garner, McTominay, Facundo Pellistri, Van de Beek, Elanga, Martial, Rashford, Jadon Sancho.
