After 'El Chiringuito' reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has asked to leave Real Madrid next summer, the Portuguese star responded with a clear message on his Instagram account: "focused".

With the derby against Atletico Madrid just around the corner, rumours started circulating about Ronaldo's future at the start of this week. The aforementioned source claimed that the 32-year-old wants to leave Madrid, although the player himself made it clear on social media that he's only thinking about football.

"Focused", is what Real Madrid talisman wrote on his Instagram account. The message was alongside an image of him in training, striking a ball with his left foot.

So the FIFA player of the year was keen to make his intentions clear, just days after his captain Sergio Ramos labelled some of his commments as 'an opportunist opinion', after Ronaldo claimed that Real Madrid missed  some of the players who left the Santiago Bernabeu last summer.

Be that as it may, the Madrid derby is on the horizon and Ronaldo has a lot of people to prove wrong. With just league goal to his name this season, people are starting to question the four-time Ballon d'Or winner, and they only way he can respond is with goals.
