Cristiano Ronaldo Jr has recently spoken with young streamer Rakai and faced an intriguing question: "Is Lamine Yamal better than Cristiano Ronaldo?" The Portuguese star's son has acknowledged that, for now, the answer is yes — but stressed there is still a long way to go before he can be compared to a figure.

Gradually, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr is carving out his own identity. He already plays and scores with Portugal's youth teams and is becoming a familiar name in the media spotlight. This week, he spent the day with US streamer Rakai, who put a series of football-related questions to him.

During a car journey, Rakai asked him who his favourite player was. "My father," came the natural reply from the young Portuguese.

This was followed by a comparison that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr took in good humour, despite not being entirely comfortable: "Is Lamine Yamal better than Cristiano Ronaldo?"

With honesty, he answered that at present, yes — but the two cannot yet be equated as figures: "Right now, he is better, but Yamal hasn't won anything yet. He's very good, but he hasn't won anything so far."

Rakai was clearly taken aback by the response from the star's son. Just weeks ago, Cristiano Ronaldo extended his contract with Al-Nassr until 2027, ensuring he will play until at least the age of 42.
