Cristiano Ronaldo has had a pretty good few days, fresh from becoming the first player to score in all six Champions League group games and being awarded this year's Ballon d'Or, the Portuguese scored a first-half brace against Sevilla as he looked to get Real Madrid's stuttering La Liga campaign back on track.

It was a dominant first 45 minutes from Real, who went in at the break with a five-goal lead.

Ronaldo's first came with 23 minutes on the clock, the striker made a darting run inside Sevilla left-back Lionel Carole and was found by a perfect pass by Marco Asensio.

Through on goal, Ronaldo made no mistake, slotting low past Sergio Rico to open his account for the day.

His second came via a much easier route, from the penalty spot after Jesus Navas was penalised for handling the ball.

Ronaldo took responsibility and just about managed to squeeze an effort below Rico and into the corner to double his tally.
