Despite Borja Mayoral's impressive performance against Real Sociedad on Sunday, Real Madrid are still in desperate need of a new striker and are now eyeing deals for two former players.

According to 'OkDiario', Real are planning to splash the cash in the January transfer window and are hoping they can bring in a player who is familiar with the Madrid setup.

With these requirements in mind, Zidane could turn his attention to one of Roberto Soldado or Alvaro Negrado, who both fit the ball perfectly.

Soldado was in the Spanish capital between 2002 and 2008 (with a season-long loan at Osasuna in the 2006/07 season), representing the Real Madid B team before earning a call to the first team squad. He played 16 senior games and scored twice before completing a move to Getafe.

Negredo also represented the B team between 2005 and 2007 before being sold to Almeria, where he spent two seasons. 'Los Blancos' then exercised their buyback option and the striker returned in June 2009, but manager Manuel Pellegrini advised him to leave for Sevilla with worries over game time at the Bernabeu.

The tweet reads: 'Madrid are interested in Soldado and Negredo'. Do you think Zidane needs a new striker?
