After the Copa del Rey victory over Alcoyano, Real Madrid received another good piece of news this Thursday as Vinicius has recovered from COVID-19 and he could play in the La Liga match with Valencia.

Real Madrid have quickly forgotten about the La Liga slip-up against Getafe, Victory in the Copa del Rey against Alcoyano helped Real Madrid smile once again and now, they have reasons for optimism as they have got back one of their most important players.

Vinicius is back with the rest of the squad and he will be able to play against Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu. He had tested negative for COVID-19, but his serological tests indicated that he had not quite got over the infection so he has to miss Real Madrid's last two matches.

Now, after being in quarantine which went on for longer than expected, the Brazilian returned to training this Thursday with his teammates and he is set to start against Valencia. With this news, Luka Jovic is the only Real Madrid player who is still positive.

It is unlikely Jovic will be available for the Valencia game, but he could be available for the Barcelona game in the Super Cup semi-final. Who is set to miss Wednesday's game with Barca is Mariano, who got injured in Alcoy and could have a slight hamstring tear in his left leg.

On the other hand, Mendy, Benzema, Modric and Courtois once again trained normally after missing the game with Alcoyano. Gareth Bale and Dani Carvajal, who will not play against Valencia, were not part of the group.
