Real have 10 days to appeal Ronaldo ban

Real Madrid have been given 10 days to appeal Cristiano Ronaldo's five-game ban for pushing the referee in Wednesday night's victory over Barcelona.

The 32-year-old has been suspended for five games after pushing referee Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea in frustration for being sent off late on in the first Clasico of the season.

Ronaldo has also been fined €3,805 (£3,459), with Real fined €1,750 (£1,590).

The Spanish football federation (RFEF) confimed that Real and Ronaldo will have 10 business days to appeal against the ruling.

 Zinedine Zidane confirmed after the match that Real would be appeal the decision in the hope that Ronaldo can play in the return leg in Madrid on Wednesday.
