USA captain Megan Rapinoe took a clean sweep of all possible awards as she won the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball, as well as being named Player of the Match in the final. The only award that Rapinoe couldn't win was the Golden Glove, which was awarded to Dutch keeper Sari van Veenendaal.

Having scored six goals and provided three assists as her side defended their crown, Megan Rapinoe took home the biggest individual awards on offer from this Women's World Cup. The Seattle Reign winger was her country's star player as they secured a record fourth Women's World Cup crown.

After being named player of the match against the Netherlands, a game in which she became the oldest player to score in a World Cup final at 34 years and two days, Rapinoe also took home the Golden Ball - the award for the outstanding player at the tournament. She was followed on the podium by England's Lucy Bronze and her teammate and fellow final goalscorer Rose Lavelle.

The USA captain also got her hands on the Golden Boot, pipping compatriot Alex Morgan, who also registered six goals and three assists, to the award on the virtue of having played less minutes. England's Ellen White, who also scored six goals, took home the Bronze Boot as she registered fewer assists.

The only award she wasn't eligible to win was the Golden Glove award, which was awarded to Netherlands' goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal. The Dutch 'keeper was the main reason that the scoreline stayed at just 2-0 as she pulled off a string of fantastic saves in the final.
