Roma senior advisor Claudio Ranieri gave an interview to 'Sky Sport' in which he addressed various issues related to the Giallorossi team.

Claudio Ranieri, senior advisor of Roma, gave a lengthy interview to Sky Sport in which he discussed the last few months he's spent with the club and the Giallorossi's season.

On his current role, Ranieri explained: "I've made several video calls during these months of the transfer window, but the adrenaline still isn't flowing. Of course, when you watch the matches, you'd like to be there. I think there's an age for everything. And mine is one where I have to stay out, watch, and help others."

The director also addressed the failed arrival of Jadon Sancho: "He was financially huge, but the Friedkins, to please the coach, would have done it. Of course, we had to sell someone; we would have had to sell a prized asset, and it was difficult to sell him; we want to keep the prized assets."

On the appointment of the new coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, Ranieri commented: "The dislike was there when you faced him. But when you have him in your favour, things change. He is a coach who demands, he expects the maximum, first of all from himself and then from others. This is what the fans wanted, I am super convinced that he will have a great season."
