In the last game against Holland, Sergio Ramos moved level with Gianluigi Buffon on 176 international appearances in all competitions.

Real Madrid player Sergio Ramos came on on Wednesday night to move level with Gianluigi Buffon on 176 international appearances in all competitions.

Ramos came on in the 86th minute to replace Sergio Martínez, and was Luis Enrique's final change in the friendly against Holland.

The defender made his debut at 19 years of age, against China in 2005, and will now have his sites on record-holder Ahmed Hassan, who played 184 games for Egypt.

In his international career, Ramos has represented La Roja at every level, winning the World Cup in 2010 and the Euros in 2008 and 2012.
