French giants PSG are said to be readying a bid for Real Madrid's Mateo Kovacic.
PSG don't want to lose Marco Verratti but everything points to the Italian leaving the Stade de France for the Nou Camp this summer, so as a contingency they are eying up Croatian international Mateo Kovacic.
According to 'OK Diario', PSG are considering Kovacic as a replacement for Verratti given his possible departure.
The central midfielder played second fiddle for much of last season, but he ended the campaign as an important rotation option for the side, as he was often deployed in Casemiro's role when the Brazilian was absent.
Kovacic is prepared to stay at the Bernabeu for the time being but PSG are said to be willing to pay anything up to €50million to secure his services.
