PSG are prepared to launch an audacious bid for Manchester City's Sergio Aguero in the summer, according to The Times.

The French powerhouse is lining up an offer that could reach close to 80 million euros as a signing fee, while according to the report they would be willing to pay the player a salary in excess of 14 million euros.

The 28-year-old Aguero has been a key player at City since his arrival over five years previously from Atletico Madrid.

However, the impressive start of Brazilian youngster Gabriel Jesus with Pep Guardiola's team relegated the Argentinian striker to the bench in the last couple of games, sparking intense rumours of his exit during the summer transfer window.

While Real Madrid have been linked with Aguero in the past days, it is unlikely they could pay the salary that PSG can offer him.

It is worth reminding that PSG are left with Edison Cavani as their lone out-and-out striker since the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and they reportedly very keen to recruit a top striker in the summer.
