Ancelotti's Everton won another Premier League match, but things did not go perfectly at Goodison Park. Crystal Palace fancied their chances of winning at Everton following a serious error by Pickford.
It all happened in the first half. After Bernard made it 1-0, Benteke was the beneficiary of a blunder by Pickford which levelled the scores.
The Crystal Palace striker received the ball on the right hand side of the are and he looked for a shot across goal. It should have been a routine save for Pickford, but he did not put his bod behind the shot.
Pickford tried to hold onto the ball, but it slipped through his fingers and went into the net. A error which did not matter in the end as Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin netted.
Benteke's goal meant the footballer ended a run of 10 months without scoring. The Crystal Palace man had not scored a goal for 1426 minutes. That was on 21st April 2019.
