According to radio program 'El Partidazo', the pair have been in constant contact in recent weeks as Perez looks to calm Ronaldo down after rumours of discontent between the pair.
Ronaldo revealed his feelings after claiming his fifth Ballon d'Or and scoring the winning goal in Real's recent Club World Cup triumph, saying that he wants to stay at the club for the rest of his career, but insisting that the deision is not up to him.
Now, it has been claimed that the Portugal star wants to earn as much as fellow stars Lionel Messi and Neymar, whose current earnings are thought to outstrip the deal Ronaldo signed with 'Los Blancos' back in November 2016. Ronaldo is thought to be eyeing a deal worth as much as €40m net.
Perez is keen to keep the situation under control and as such has met with the player to buy himself some time and convince the 32-year-old to let the issue lie until the end of the season, when talks will resume.
