Ilaix Moriba's renewal at Barcelona is stalling. The club want to resolve the situation as soon as possible, but clubs in England are still keeping an eye on it. Chelsea and City are attentive to the Barca youngster and, according to British press, the idea of playing under the guidance of Pep Guardiola would certainly be a tempting proposition.

Ilaix Moriba's contract with Barcelona runs until 2022, and the club want to extend this deal.  However, the positions of the midfielder and the club are very much at odds. So much so that, until the situation resolves itself, the play finds himself training with the reserve team.

Barca are tired with the situation and intend to resolve it as soon as possible, whether that be to renew his contract or to say goodbye. Either way, they don't want this to drag on. From England, 'Manchester Evening News' reports that both Chelsea and City are waiting in the wings for the 18-year-old. Both clubs would be willing to make a firm offer for the player.

Between the blue side of London and sky blue of Manchester, Ilaix wouldn't even have to think about it: he would love to play under the guidance of Pep Guardiola. Thus, City could take advantage of the situation, as the 'Ilaix case' could well be resolved in the next few days.
