Unless there is a major surprise, Andre Onana will not renew his contract with Ajax, with the club's sporting director Marc Overmars admitting that they are not in talks to extend a contract that expires in 2022. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Inter Milan are close to signing him for free.

Andre Onana and Ajax will go their separate ways unless things turn around. The Cameroonian goalkeeper arrived in Amsterdam from Barcelona's youth ranks in the 2014-15 season and has since become an idol for the club's fans.

However, his renewal situation has stalled and right now he seems more out of the club than ever. He renewed in 2019 until 2022, and during this time there has been talk about it again.

What's more, the Dutch side's own sporting director Marc Overmars made it clear in talks with 'Ziggo Sport' that they are "not in talks to extend Onana's contract". It is worth remembering that the African goalkeeper has been suspended for seven months.

Among all this, the journalist Fabrizio Romano assured that Inter will be his immediate future. The Italian side have been after him for some time now and when the winter transfer window opens, negotiations could come to fruition and he could arrive in Italy on a free transfer.
