OFFICIAL: Betis bring in Sidnei
La Liga side Real Betis have officially completed a deal to sign defender Sidnei from relegated Deportivo.
The Brazilian defneder joined the club on a four-year deal, with the fee paid left undisclosed.
The 27-year-old came through the academy at Porto Alegre in his homeland, before heading to Europe with Benfica in 2008.
Loan spells with Besiktas, Espanyol and Deportivo followed, with his performances for the latter convincing them to sign him permanently in 2015.
The Brazil U20 defender continued his fine form with the side throughout the three LaLiga campaigns he spent there as a permanent fixture, but was unable to prevent the club from being relegated last season.
With over 100 La Liga appearances under his belt and a welath of top-flight experience in other European league under his belt Sidnei will provide Betis with invaluable nous as they prepare for a season involving Europa League football.
