Sergio Aguero gets a new adventure in his career underwat. He returns to La Liga, a league which he knows perfectly thanks to his time with Atletico Madrid. The Argentine signed with Barcelona until 2023 following a decade at Manchester City.

What had been rumoured for months has finally been made official - Barcelona have signed Sergio Aguero. He will join Argentina teammate Leo Messi in attack, providing the number 10 signs a new contract with the Catalan side.

After ending his contract at City, Aguero will arrive to Barcelona on a free transfer, signing a contract which will keep him at the club until 2023. After all the offers the striker had on the table, his favourite was Barca. 

Before making his arrival official, the Catalan side had accidentally posted the presentation of his transfer from the 'Sky Blues', an announcement that spread like wildfire across social media.

Aguero didn't mind accepting a reduced salary in order to compete the signing. According to reports from England, the attacker will take a 40% cut from what he was earning at City, although the club are still yet to confirm this aspect.

Aguero will arrive at Barca following a decade in the blue side of Manchester. He says goodbye with a whole host of honours, deserved after his contributions of 260 goals and 64 assists in 390 matches for the club. Undoubtedly some legendary statistics. 

The Argentine is back in La Liga, returning for the first time since his spell at Atletico between 2006 and 2011 where the player originally made a name for himself. Atletico were the springboard that gave him his jump to the Premier League, before which he was playing for Indepediente in his home country.

His honours during his spell in the Spanish capital amounted to a Europa League and a European Super Cup. He then added to this significantly during his time at City, winning five Premier Leagues, an FA Cup, three Community Shields and six League Cups.
