Nimes match in danger? Now three COVID-19 positives

4 days from the return of Ligue 1, Nimes communicated two new COVID-19 positive cases in the squad. They announced two more this very week, which one turned out to be negative in a second test.

The Champions League final on Sunday will be the curtain-raiser to the start of another Ligue 1 season, which ended the 2019-20 season halfway through because of the pandemic. A coronavirus crisis that has some teams on edge.

Nimes have become one of the most affected so far: the club announced two more positives and now have three confirmed in the last few days.

"COVID-19 monitoring report: Of Monday's cases, only one was confirmed as positive. Additional testing on Wednesday revealed two new cases within the group", Nimes communicated.

The club also confirmed that the people affected are isolated in their homes to safeguard the rest of the group. Still, their start to Ligue 1 on 23rd August against Stade Brestois could be in danger...
