The Spanish national team lost 1-2 against Switzerland at La Romareda in a match in which Borja Iglesias and Nico Williams made their debuts. The Athletic Club player highlighted his debut and explained that Luis Enrique asked him to play in the same way as he did for Athletic.

A bad result for Spain at La Romareda after Switzerland beat them 1-2. Luis Enrique's side will now have to play Portugal away in order to qualify for the Final Four. Both Borja Iglesias and Nico Williams made their debuts in the clash.

The Betis striker assured that they will go to Portugal to give everything to take all three points and that they will show that they are capable of winning important matches. For his part, the Athletic winger was very happy to wear the Spanish national team shirt for the first time.

"It's a big step in my career. I'm grateful to the coach for this opportunity. He told me to open up the pitch, to dribble, what I do at Athletic," he said after the final whistle.

He also spoke about their opponents and explained the mentality of his team-mates: "They are tough opponents. We knew they were dangerous from set pieces and we couldn't stop them. Spain never give up and I've seen that my team-mates are very strong mentally".
